I work with sand on top of the painting cloth and then I sand it down. That’s how I build the support, as a bricklayer raising a wall, going from thick to thin plaster in successive layers of colour. The graffito, done with ends of different thicknesses, I scrape the surface until I reach in many cases, a graduation of midtones and the shape desired. The selection of these materials in my painting comes from my way of working, from the inside to the outside of the surface, matter, towards form and colour, which are part of my painting and speech. And my painting is the support, established form an incision.
The usage of other techniques without the resource of the matter makes impossible the relationship with the alchemist, which I have with my paintings.
